- Le résumé -

A quality kebab place held by Turkish people from Antioche ( like those from Ozlem), a city close to Syria: the kebabs are homemade, made with veal, and the restaurant is very clean. There’s a quality atmosphere due to the diversity of the crowd, and its open mindedness.

The place to go in this authentic area of the 14th district.

- Lieu -

Benoit Maso from the website kebab-frites had included it in his sélection of Parisian kebab places, and he personally recommended that I check it out. I went the very next day.
The restaurant is warm-hearted, even though it is a little too dim ( for the room at the back): the clientele is disparate, young and not so young, men and women, you can tell right away people trust the place, that we’re in front of a good and sure deal for the area.
It’s clean, I was eating at a table against the counter, and I could observe at my heart’s content: the counter is washed regularly, everything is nicely organized, if you look you can see some cleaning products on a shelf behind, the vents are impeccable, it means business right away.
The bathroom at the back is also clean and well kept.

- L'équipe -

A man and woman are running the show, and they’re helped by a young guy that works well: he cleans the work station whenever he has nothing to do, good worker.
I asked for advice, and asked a good amount of questions- without saying I was writing a review- and I was answered each time, there were no issues getting a glass of water with the carafe when eating a sandwich or getting a fork to finish the meat that fell out of the sandwich.
At the end I talked to the man during a slow period; 11am-11pm 6 days out of 7, they work hard. I finally told him that it was Benoit Maso that recommended it for 716.

- Le repas -

There were sandwiches written on the board, one of them was new with vegetables and meatballs I think. I was a little lost in front of so many choices offered to me.
I asked the man for advice, for my first visit he advised me to get the donair, classic kebab because the meat is homemade, completely made with veal.
The white and cocktail sauces are homemade, I let them choose one for me, they chose a « cocktail » one, i twas good but I wasn’t convinced that it really went well with the sandiwch, next time I’ll take my usual classic mix of white sauce/harissa.

The sandwich is very nice : the bread is quickly toasted on the « broche », the meat is good, the vegetables look nice, good value.
I only took one sandwich but the dishes looked good too, you can tell on the menu underneath.

6 euros for a sandwich and a drink.

I’m adding this photo that I cropped in order to not show the owners without their authorization, but on which we can see that the vegetables look really good.

I wanted to try the desserts: the rice pudding and the honey yogurt were homemade.
I tried the rice pudding, good, nothing else to say about it, it’s the proof that they’re really cooking here.

- Le bilan -

Good deal in the 14th district, Pernety is in the place.
