- Le résumé -

I remembered this place as a fun wine bar/bistot to have a good time in, instead I discover an appetizing menu and the prices that match. It seems that the son took over the mother’s business. It was full to the brim that day at lunch, as if we were in an Italian trattoria, but instead, two meters away from the Vivienne passageway ( one of my favorite areas.

- Lieu -

A true bistrot, and it’s big, it goes very far in.

It’s very much alive, loud in the first room, less at the back, there’s life, there’s joy.

- L'équipe -

Doesn’t have time to spend too much time with the customer during the big rush, but they’re there, doing their job, working hard. Had to fight a little for that water bottle, but we got it with a smile.

Note ( not about the restaurant): It’s what I have the hardest time with when I come back after my trips to other countries, having to go through hurdles and more to get a water carafe. It’s time that France gets out of that hole, it’s to the point of being embarrassing.

- Le repas -

Appetizer
Assiette de jambon de coche à partager …..plate to share

They have some serious charcuterie here, just look at this beauty.

There’s a menu appetizer-main at 17 or main at 14, which is a very good price I think.                                                                                        Egg and mayonnaise

Tripe                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          The tripe is divine, the broth too, too bad the potatoes weren’t as great, you can see it with the two on the left, they were hard and tired, because the tripe is so good, we imagine the potatoes would be too.

- Le bilan -

A plate of ham shared by three, an egg and mayo, tripe, coffee: 23 euros per person.                                                                                          Three thumbs up. Bougainville is a good spot.                                                                                                                                                                        Looks like the bistrots are back in business in Paris, they’re starting to do some real cooking again, makes me happy.
