It’s the club/ bar/ restaurant located in what used to be a high end hotel during the communist era; it was used to put up leading government dignitaries, foreign political or other business men. You have to go.
You see it from far away, the width of the building faces the Wista, the river that goes through the city.
It’s always super full on nice days, with locals , but also quite a bit of tourists ( we had some annoying American tourists beside us who insisted on keeping unoccupied chairs for themselves, which was a pointless exercise in resistance:)
I find this giant Mazda billboard ironic, and cynical, when you know that under the communist era, this was the city’s big international hotel
People stay here hours on end.
You can eat at the bar- restaurant, after making your way through the crowd of course, because everyone’s there to drink!, and eat 🙂
You order, you pay, you receive a mini plastic flying saucer, the bell rings when your dish is ready, and it’s up to you to get it.
My vegetable salad was a surprise; I have to say I was skeptical.
The menu had a lot of pizzas, and I needed some fibre! Polish food is great, but fibre isn’t part of their specialty.
Here’s a good Polish beer.
I only stayed here for the first part of the evening, so I didn’t see the party afterwards, but it was already full, and people were fighting for seats outside.
Good spot to check out, but there are lots of people so it’s up to you to see if it’s for you or not.
