Dulce de Leche – Valencia (Spain) en

It’s THE bakery- a salon de thé in Valence that many locals would highly recommend.
So yeah, it’s nice and good! ( there’s at least two actually, another is in the trendy Ruzafa area) but the service wasn’t great: without being unpleasant, it feels like it’s part of a chain.

Located in an area just on the outside of the center, you just need to use the tunnel, dreary, under the train ( but lots of people use don’t worry).
There are two record shops not far from it, UltraSound Music ( Marques de Zenete, 6) and Splendini Bazar ( Called San Fransisco de Borja, 4)
The advantage of the place is that the patio and sliding door makes it you feel as if you were outside, even if you’re not. And yep, it’s the south of Spain so I was there in February and I was so hot I had to leave the patio for a little shage 🙂

They’re young ladies, nice sure, but they don’t come to take your order, and don’t tell you that you have to go up to the cash for example. The thing that irritated me the most was that after we finished our coffees we changed tables to talk a bit longer, and so we went to the table next to ours: the waitress left the two dirty coffee cups from the previous clients so that, she says: ” so that we’re not asked to get the table ready for someone else”. I thought that was bit much.

Other than the service, it’s delicious.
An apple and carrot juice, caramel churros, raspberry tart and a good coffee: feeling good!
It can get so hot in Valence that we’re happy when we can get something healthy to boost us up.

Good spot, but I wouldn’t say “to not be missed”, just because the dirty coffee cups wasn’t worthy of such an establishment.
