- Le résumé -

A classy and refined restaurant (not necessarily a pleonasm) offering quality Asian fusion food: perfect service and subdued lighting atmosphere, we want more.  Oh yeah, and it’s good 🙂

- Lieu -

It’s in the historic center, cozy, classy and with of good taste ( I’m repeating myself), it opened about 5 years ago. It’s enjoyable being there.

Takes care of the clients’ every little need, yes I mentioned that I was a blogger and that might have helped, but honestly I didn’t see any other tables suffer from the service given to them, and the waiter was so nice, that it couldn’t be faked. This restaurant was recommended to me by several young Slovenians.
The chef is Slovenian and has cooked Asian food for now 8-9 years: he cooks as much Japanese food as Thai and Vietnamese food. The vegetables come from Asia, but everything else comes from Slovenia.

It felt like Mardi Gras. I’m joking but the coincidence was that I unknowingly booked my trip in the middle of the Teden Restavracij week “the week of the restaurants”: the city’s best restaurants were each offering a unique menu for 13 euros, yeah, I’m still amazed at my incredible luck.
So, let’s take a menu. But to be honest, everything was reserved two weeks prior, and that fact that I was a blogger benefited me; they have a restricted amount of menus available for 13 euros, so much so that they told me all the menus were reserved even though half the room was empty.
I’m letting you know, so that if you come to Slovenia during this period, make sure to make reservations two weeks in advance.

Appetizers
Spring rolls made with mango, papaya, carrots, lettuce, coriandre, and a very spicy sauce.

A good glass of Pinot Blanc, 2.50 euros.

A delicious Miso soup, with thinly grated carrots.

A very spicy Thai curry, a house classic.
The waiter told us he preferred the red curry.
It was perfect.

- Le bilan -

2 menus, three glasses of wine, one coffee, all of that for the crazy price of 32 euros.
All kidding aside, I looked at the prices on the menu, and they weren’t overly expensive, but definitely comparable to the ones in France: dishes between 11-25 (the fish) and desserts around 6-7 euros.
That being said, it’s really good and once again, some young locals, students, told me they liked going there, the lunch menus are a better bang for your buck.
