It opened up in 2010 and is very popular with locals: students, employees that work in the area, artists, tourists too, I saw a bit of everyone.
Good traditional food, inexpensive and great service!

It’s in the basement but with the sun that was out there that day I didn’t mind staying in the shade.
The seats are comfortable, big tables, we’re not crowded.

The little story
As I was walking in Mala Strana the first day, following the recommendations of a young ballet dancer that I met in a street, I met another young man that was waiting for the bus. I quickly asked him what were his favorite spots in the area, he confirmed that he loved this area and was his favorite ( he spoke perfect French because he had lived in Switzerland), then he pointed to the restaurant behind us and told me it was his favorite.
Later, when I was talking with the salesperson at the Bugaboo skate shop, I brought up this restaurant and she confirmed that it was a good place.

Serving that day was a man in his 40s, that at first seemed a little closed off, but that was actually super nice: prompt to give advice, no problems to get my Iphone recharged behind the counter, etc.

I followed my server’s advice: Hamburská vepřová kýta, so pork with a ham and cucumber sauce and served with bread on the side.

A pint of beer and my meal cost me 140 korunas, so 7 euros.
