Getting there
Take the bus #3 and get off at the Palīdzības iela stop. There are three stops, and then, you just follow the crowd 🙂
The Arena
Hockey is a national sport here, the arena is well built and holds 10 000 people, it often goes up to that. That being said you can get your ticket at the door for 5 Lats ( around 8 Euros) there are standing spots at the very top and with a little luck you could probably find an empty seat to sit in. There’s a real entertainment side to it, the DJ doesn’t stop, music is prepared for anything funny or break. During the two breaks, shows on ice lets the crowd be patient in a good atmosphere.

It’s really worth taking part of the local culture. We were lucky that night, Dinamo Riga won against the Russian club Avtomobilist de Yekaterinburg.
Special mention of a young DJ in his customized RedBull car in front of the arena. He was there before we got in and when everyone left he was still there, was he freezing his butt off the entire game?
