I discovered Esclé in a voodoocast he had made for Voodoohop, a super cool podcast series created in Brazil by an art collective (one member being a former member of the French crew Matumbi.
Esclé aka Simon Clement is a German dj who is building his own way through the forest of electronic music & traditional : sometimes it sounds like the precursor English band African Head Charge, sometimes almost new age, then it’s pure ambient, before getting back to some mystical tribal music, or some pure electro. This is Esclé.
This mix has been recorded live and Wadaha means driver in Somali. This is a driver set, when the music evolves according to the landscapes and the moods of the passengers. Visual is from Nina Hach.
