Il y a le 2eme volet des Red Stripe Disco edits qui est presque pressé. Ca sortira courant octobre en principe & contiendra 2 edits de tracks disco/reggae obscures. Pressage en 12″, série super limitée à 100 copies, uniquement en vinyle & sans repressage futur!Il y a aussi la série de mix Red Stripe Disco (sélections de morceaux rare ou méconnus de reggae sous forte influence disco, funk, soul) dont le volume 7 sera enregistré dans les semaines à venir… Avec un projet plus sérieux pour 2013 sur la thématique!

The 2nd opus of the Red Stipe Disco edits is almost released. It will be out at the beginning of october and will contin 2 edits of obscure disco/reggae tracks. It will come as a 12″, limited serie of 100 ex., only in vinyl and without any futur repress.There ia also the Red Stripe Disco Mix serie (selection of rare tracks of reggae under disco, funk & soul influence), the volume 7 will be recorded in the next weeks… And a more serious project about the same thematic is planned for 2013.

2) Prince Blackman – Rockers Delight
Une reprise de Rappers Delight à la sauce Jamaicaine, un savant mélange de raeggae et de rap enregistré au Canada. Derrière ce pseudo de Prince Blackman se cache en fait Leroy Sibbles, chanteur principal du trio jamaicain The Heptones, plus connus pour leurs superbes harmonies vocales.

Ayant grandi au soleil de l’Océan Indien, le son des îles & la musicalité du créole me fait particulièrement du bien à l’approche de l’automne… Et puis le côté positif des paroles devrait faire du bien à tout le monde, particulièrement à Paname : « la vie é tro rédui », arrêtez de faire la gueule!

9) Le Stim – Tribute To Mohammed Ali
Un disque après lequel j’ai couru pendant quelques années. Il m’attendait à mon retour de vacances il y a quelques jours… La partie la plus intéressante se trouve à partir du break, ensuite c’est la folie.
This is an album I’ve been chasing for years. I’ve found it in my mailbox when I came back from holidays a couple of days ago… The most interesting part is after the break, then it’s pure madness.

12) Ira Nepus – Trombone Feeling
On ralentit un peu avec ce track rare groove en provenance d’Hawaii par le tromboniste Ira Nepus, qui a participé à l’enregistrement de l’album de Lemuria. Comme ce dernier, l’album Trombone Feeling est produit par Kirk Thompson sur le label Heaven Records.

13) Soul Liberation – Who Is Your Friend?
Pour finir, un excellent morceau Gospel / Funk, sur un album qui propose une autre paire de beaux tracks gospel /soul plus calmes.
