A Thai take-out place where they’re really cooking: other than the boss Joy, it looked like there were two other women in the kitchen. It’s good, not expensive and located in an area where simple and cheap places like these are lacking.
I discovered thanks to Yelp. I rarely go this way, through Daguerre street, and it’s a nice little find. It’s a small place, in September it was still nice out and had the chance to sit outside: Daguerre St. is quiet, it’s nice. At lunch, it gets busy fast, but it doesn’t become cray, there can be a little wait, but it’s reasonable.
If I refer back to the article in the Fooding, Joy had closed up shop a couple years ago, and reopened in 2012. It’s a woman who has a lot of character, that works a lot, I thought I was going to get yelled out a couple times, but not at all, she answered with a smile.
Menu at 12,50 euros
Appetizers
2 Hacao, 2 Hamai, delicious, very fresh.
Main Beef Satay, fried noodles Good, without being crazy, but better than many other places of the type. I appreciated the fact that Joy brought me a second plate of fried noodles when I pointed out how small it was! 🙂
Sticky rice in banana leaf Delicious
Avec un jus de mangue et un café servi avec du gingembre, l’addition s’est montée à 16,20 euros.
