Les Introuvables – The cavern of cinematographic rarities

28.12.10 - Guillaume - 716lavie

I love the “Les Introuvables” blog. The guy who runs that decided to put for download rare and precious movies which have never been edited to dvd. As soon as they come out in dvd, he erases the link. His goal is not to make concurrence to the major companies but just to share some cinematographic rarities.
Here is a short a selection of some movies I loved on it.

Cisco Pike
A 80’s american movie with Kris Kristofferson and Gene Hackman : a small production which takes place in Venice Beach, a good story, Kris Kristofferson on top, very nice vibe.

Danger : Diabolik !
A José Bava production with Michel Piccoli – who disappeared from the american trailer – : crazy 60’s sci-fi.

Mes chers amis
A dope classic 70’s movie with among others Philippe Noiret & Ugo Tognazzi, in french version.

Pas si méchant que ça
I love this one. A small french/swiss 70’s production : nice story which takes place in the country side, not to much talkative, actors on top.

L’affaire Mattei
i’m a huge fan of Francesco Rosi (Salvatore Giuliano, I magliari, Lucky Luciano, etc…). This movie got the Grand Prix in Cannes in 1972 but was retired from screens a few days after it came out and had never been edited in VHS nor DVD : too much political !

The Last Movie
Hard to follow at the beginning, freak out movie in a bad VHS quality. But you finally let you taken by this painting of a disaster.

Meurtre a Montmartre
Some french cinema I love : everything shot in studio, very good actors, an intrigue that gets slowly deeper and deeper.
