Godot Café – Bucharest (Romania) en

- Le résumé -

A theater café, named after Ionesco’s play, who was Romanian, in which not only can you watch beautiful performances but also eat relatively well, and in good quantities!

As said on their website, the place combines the warm café atmosphere and the artistic demands of a real theater, it’s a difficult bet to make, but from what I saw of it, it was successful.
I went with some Romanian friends that were going to see one of their friends play. It was a Sunday afternoon and the room was full. Good thing: even though you are allowed to smoke everywhere in Romania, they ask the public not to smoke during the show.
There was a really good vibe during the show.

- Le repas -

I take a look at the menu, and the lasagna looks good, so I took it! Probably the best one I ever ate, might seem weird, but that’s the way it is.
A homemade dish the way we like them.
My Romanian friends couldn’t believe how good it was when they tried it.

My soup of the day was also very good: fresh tomato soupe, no Liebig after taste here!

- Le bilan -

Romania is a country that has a bug theater culture. Going to Godot with throw you into that atmosphere, and you’ll eat really well, what else do you need?
