A Turkish pizza place, small and authentic, it’s been open for years now. It’s very clean, the pizzas are good and made on the fly by the owner. The atmosphere couldn’t be called crazy or amazing, but the food is pretty good, and it’s cheap.
So the lady is in the kitchen, helped by a young man that day for the service. It’s not easy the first time you go there, you’d like to talk a bit, ask for advice, but here the service is minimal. I was able to get a few recommendations anyways. The man there seemed to be the husband, he was either at the cash, or just outside.
The person who told me about the place had recommended I try the pizza with the pieces of meat.
I ended up following the boss’ advice: the chicken pizza for myself ( in general the Turks love chicken) and the mixed pizza for the person that came with me.
I saw a Turkish couple in their 50s, they ordered a kavurmali( Turkish cheese), spinach, and potato pizza that looked appetizing.
Appetizer
You get a little house salad.
They also have homemade ayran that you can see on the picture, it’s very good.
Careful the raki is not cheap, 5 euros.
The pizzas
They’re good, the portions are generous. In fact, it’s a good thing we didn’t try the Lahmacun as well, it would have been too much.
My chicken pizza
Mixed pizza
A good place to know in the neighborhood, I wouldn’t make it my regular spot, but it’s rare enough finding a Turkish place that makes artisan pizzas ( it’s actually the only one I know in Paris) that it’s a good place to keep in mind, and to honor the initiative. It can save lives:)
